By the time we landed, claimed luggage made it through customs, drove to the hotel and checked into our rooms, it was 1:30 a.m. or so.
A short sleep later, we were on the bus again and arrived at Queen Alia Airport for our 10:30 a.m. flight to the USA:
A 13-hour flight later, we landed at JFK in New York...to learn that all our connecting flights had been cancelled. BUT God be praised, we managed to change airlines, terminals, and even our destination, and arrived in Cincinnati (instead of Dayton) a little after 11 p.m.--24 hours after our wakeup call in Amman!
It will be good good good to be home!
