Northstar Cafe, Liberty Township, OH

The lovely Robin and I had lunch with friends this past weekend at Northstar Cafe, in the (relatively) new Liberty Center mixed-use complex in Liberty Township, Ohio. It was our first visit to this eatery, which is a spinoff of the Northstar Cafe in downtown Columbus.
The restaurant's website says they feature "an imaginative menu of New American cuisine with an emphasis on organic ingredients," calling it "pure and natural dining." We ordered at the counter (and I was thrilled to see a magazine rack flanking the line to the counter, where an assortment of twenty or so titles was available for browsing and purchase. Nice, nice touch.
Robin and I both had the "standard egg sandwich," which was more than standard. It was excellent. She had an orange juice with her sandwich, but I ordered the "Shooting Star," an orange, organic carrot, lemon, and ginger concoction. It was different.

The bill was the only unpleasant part of the experience. $29 before tax and tip. Too rich for my blood.

Northstar Cafe is located at 7610 Sloan Way in Liberty Center, just across from the fountain and (at this time of year) giant Christmas tree.
